The Green Township Board of Trustees will be auctioning off two Fire Department vehicles through a Sealed Bid Auction. The sealed bids will be opened at the meeting on May 26, 2010 at 7 PM. The meeting will be at the Township Maintenance Building located at 10153 S.R. 159, Kingston, Ohio.
The first vehicle is a 1997 Chevy Blazer LS 4x4 that was used as a First Responder and Chief's car. It has 107,600 miles, push button 4x4, A/C (blows warm), AM/FM casette, power windows and locks, cruise control, and has a 4.3 liter V-6. The passenger side mirror is broken and the tires are all season radials with approximately 60% tread life remaining.
The second vehicle is a 1973 Ford F-250 truck that was used as a brush truck. It has 16,300 original miles and is a very solid truck. It has a 4 speed manual transmission, 4x4 with lock out hubs, a Dana aftermarket PTO, an extended front bumper for a winch but we also have the original front bumper, power steering, a 360 cu. in. V-8 motor, and has a 7,700 GVW. The bed pan in the truck does have some rust but the fender wells, door hinges, cab mounts, and hood mounts are all rust free. The truck has been stored inside a heated building (Fire Department) since it was purchased new. It does have American Racing aluminum rims with off road tires that have about 50% tread life remaining. There is a reserve price on this truck that has been set at $5,500.
Both vehicles are on display at 10153 S.R. 159, Kingston, Ohio. Mark the outside of the envelope "Attn: Sealed Bid Auction". You may also hand deliver bids to Fiscal Officer Brad McCorkle prior to the start of the May 26 meeting.
Both vehicles are being sold in As-Is condition and their are no warranties expressed or implied. All bids are subject to final approval by the Green Township Board of Trustees.
